My grandmother has played a big role in my love for fashion. She has always been very stylish, and was particularly overjoyed when I took an interest from such a young age. She did not have a lot of money growing up, and therefore has always enforced the power of a sense of style. She influenced my love for thrifting. One of my favorite activities is spending hours at the thrift store, finding some interesting pieces and turning it into a cute and wearable outfit. I believe that one’s fashion indicates a powerful sense of inner expression, and finding your own style can create a stronger sense of identity. This is why I also enjoy aiding my friends to gain their own style. I love to step away from a completed look to see the smile on their face when looking in the mirror. Knowing that I am able to help someone feel good about themselves provides the most fulfilling feeling. Today I’ve asked my roommate Dannie Liberatore to help me out in modeling three of looks I’ve styled before out of mostly thrifted items.
